What My Mom Really Needed (And Why We Created Lifts & Gifts)

As a mom, when you reach a certain stage of life, the days get much quieter. The calls from family don’t come as often. Your children and grandchildren are often busy or live far away.

At this point, when the days tend to run together, it is good to have something to look forward to, something special. My mom loved surprises, and she always looked forward to our gifts that arrived by mail or in person.

I kept searching for a subscription gift box that would be sent to her regularly, with encouraging and fun surprises. I never found what I was looking for – she didn’t need bath salts (her apartment had a shower), or gourmet boxes (she ate meals in the cafeteria), or fuzzy slipper socks (fall risk).

From that experience, Lifts & Gifts was born with a mission to give moms in senior living or living alone something to look forward to each month.

Like my mom, maybe your mom has probably been through a lot. If she is like my mom, she could use a lift and some special gifts, too.
