Bookstores and Coffee with Mom

Mom loved going to bookstores that had coffee shops. 😍
And so did I!

We would go on one of our Girls Day Out adventures, and it would be an all-morning outing. Once at the bookstore, we would go our separate ways to look for books that we were interested in. She headed to the art and painting section, and I headed to the fiction and craft book sections. 

We would each collect a few books to look at, then head to the coffee shop in the front of the store to share our finds. We wouldn’t buy them all, but we had the best time swapping books and flipping through them as we tried new coffees and teas. When we were finished, we would buy the ones we really liked and head for home. 

The nice thing about bookstore visits is that you can both peruse your interests and still have time to talk and share – treasured moments for a lifetime. I suggest that you leave your phone in the car and take time to simply enjoy her company. She probably needs some time with you, too. 💗
